1950s MOBO Bronco. Made in Kent, England, by D.Sebel & Co, it is of pressed metal.
Sebel's began as a metalworking firm in the 1920s making wheels, carts, architectural items, tank parts, etc. After the 2nd World War, they were inspired to make the MOBO Bronco, a toy horse that moved along on wheels when the pedals were pushed down and released. In the 1950s came the steerable version by pushing down on one pedal, the horse turned in that direction.
The horse you see here is the later steerable version dating between 1952 and 1955. It is unrestored but in very good condition, and has aged well with an attractive surface.
