White enamel weighing scales made in England by W & T AVERY LTD Birmingham, with cradle and dish at the front. The Green enamel triangular back piece has a swing arm encased in glass which shows the weight in quarter-ounce increments, the arm also displays prices up to thirty pence per pound in one-penny increments Everything sits on a heavy cast iron rectangular base on adjustable feet. Dated approximately mid-1970s.
