A beautiful example of a late 19th-century helmet-shaped copper and brass coal scuttle or log bin, a fabulous hand-hammered finish to the cooper and a gorgeous twisted brass handle and fixings all raised upon a stepped circular base. The copper has a lovely finish and patina although some may prefer a more polished appearance.
