Mid century Italian alabaster pedestal

A beautiful, and highly decorative alabaster pedestal in lovely condition. Made in Italy in the 1960s, this gorgeous tripod column has classic styling and will easily add grandeur to any setting. Heavy and sturdy and made of solid alabaster, it has beautifully carved embellishments in the classical Greek style and features a stepped tricorn top and matching base with three columns. It shows lovely enamel-blonde colouring; the top is removable and sits on top of the columns. This is in good condition, structurally sound and reassuringly heavy, the only signs of wear are a few marks and chips to the base and aged colouring, as seen in the pictures.
