A charming original English Victorian period Windsor rocking chair, in excellent antique condition displaying a classic double hoop shape and 9-bar stick-back. With long, lightly raked rockers for a gentle, relaxing rocking action, in ash and elm for their attractive grain and colour. Rising from a wonderfully turned leg set united by a traditional H-stretcher, a traditionally shaped seat plate offering comfortable seating and a wide arm hoop, in the 'Yorkshire' manner, provides support during seating, and when entering and exiting the chair.
