A 19th-century Davenport with inlaid cross banding and a leather inset writing surface. The lid lifts to reveal the open interior with three compartments. The Davenport has the usual four graduated drawers to the right and dummy drawers on the left. Above the drawers, a small drawer swings out and hinges to the body of the Davenport for pens, ink bottles, etc. It is raised on bun feet and with the original brass castors.
