A Victorian gentleman's armchair with moulded mahogany frame. There is a beautifully carved cresting to the waisted back, shaped open arms with elbow upholstered pads, rest on supports with foliage carving. The serpentine fronted seat bears a carved apron, the seat is raised on leaf-capped moulded cabriole front supports on brass and ceramic castors. This chair is of generous proportions and has been fully upholstered from the frame with a hand-stitched back with lumbar support and a firm sprung seat.
